MERC ACCUPLACER Testing/Calculus Readiness Information
[Come to Science Bldg. 130/132!]
Students registering for MATH 1070 [Business Algebra] & MATH 1110 [College Algebra]
must pass the Elementary Algebra [ELALG] ACCUPLACER test.
Student registering for MATH 1401 [Calculus I]
must pass the Calculus Readiness [CR] test.

- NO appointment is necessary to
take these tests, but you MUST bring your valid Student I.D., proof
of Birth Date (usually, a Driver's License), and a
pencil. [Student I.D.'s are created at the Tivoli Student
Union!]
If you are a new student, then bring the acceptance letter which has
your 9-digit I.D. number and 4-digit PIN in the bottom left-hand
corner. You will still need a picture I.D., preferably a Driver's
License.

Lab? We can help! Our seminars help you target any
weaknesses in your knowledge base and provide extra insight on how to
pass these tests.

- Please arrive at the MERC (SI 130/132)
approximately 5
minutes before the beginning of the seminar.
- The Elementary
Algebra [ELALG
for MATH 1070 & 1110] seminar is approximately 3 hours in
length.
- The Calculus Readiness [CR for MATH 1401]
seminar is approximately 3.5 hours in length.
- You are NOT allowed to
take the ACCUPLACER more
than once during a business day.
- NO appointment is
necessary to
attend the seminars! We suggest that you bring a
pencil and something to take notes on.
