Quizzes make 20% of the total score. All quizzes are weighted equally. One lowest score will be dropped, in other words, only 5 highest grades out of six will be used. Example: out of six quizzes scores 100%, 90%, 80%, 70%, 60%, 0%, the lowest, 0%, is dropped, which makes the average quiz grade (100% + 90% + 80% + 70% + 60%)/5 = 80%, so 20% * 0.8 = 16% for quizzes will be added to the total final grade.
To take quizzes, students are required to use MyMathLab, which links to CourseCompass by PearsonEd on-line textbook.
Students need to use MyMathLab Student Access codes, which comes for free bundled with a new copy of the text. For those, who did not get the code with the text for any reasons, FREE codes are kindly provided by the publisher. Please see me to pick up your access code.
