Student Advising

Your math faculty advisor can help you:

  1. choose appropriate math classes to meet your math graduation requirements.
  2. assist you in deciding upon which area of math in which to specialize.
  3. provide you with career advice.

Math faculty advisors cannot help you with University and CLAS policies and procedures, such as:

  • core (non-math) requirements
  • transfer credit evaluation for core requirements
  • academic warning and probation
  • residency requirements
  • graduation paperwork
If you have questions about University or CLAS policies or procedures, please see your CLAS advisor. For questions regarding math transfer credit, see the Math Major FAQs.

Who is my advisor? What if I want to change advisors?

When may I meet with my advisor?
