Sample Ph.D. Program: Mathematics of Science and Engineering

The following is a sample program for a full-time student in good standing in the Applied Mathematics Ph.D. program. The main area is Modeling and Differential Equations, there are four Ph.D. level courses (6000-7000 level), and there are four breadth courses (indicated by *). Many alternatives are possible and courses may not always be offered in the indicated semester. Your plan of study should be designed with the help of your academic advisor and with an eye on the requirements.
