Directions to the UC Denver Department of Mathematical & Statistical Sciences

The Department of Mathematical & Statistical Sciences is located at the University of Colorado Denver - Downtown Campus. The department is on the 6th floor of the CU-Denver Building, 1250 14th St., at the corner of Lawrence and 14th Streets, right across Speer Blvd. from the Auraria campus.

Driving:

If you are driving from the south, take I-25 north to Auraria Pkwy. (Exit 210C). Drive east on Auraria. Once you cross Speer Blvd., drive one block further and turn right onto 14th St. The next cross street is Larimer St. and the building is on the corner of 14th St. and Larimer St. (the entrance faces 14th St.).

Parking:

• There are parking meters on the streets surrounding the CU-Denver Building. They require change and most are $1/hour^*.
• There is a parking garage at the Denver Center for Performing Arts, on Arapahoe St. and between 14th St. and Speer Blvd (1.5 blocks from the CU-Denver Building). Expect to pay $8-$10^*.
• There are several city-owned and private lots within walking distance of the CU-Denver Building. View a parking lot map at the Downtown Denver Partnership website. Expect to pay $5-$10^*.
• If you have a CU-Denver, Metropolitan State College of Denver, or Community College of Denver ID, you may park on the Auraria Campus for a fee ($3 and up^*).

• By shuttle service: Several shuttle companies provide service from DIA to downtown Denver. The Ground Transportation Information Center is located on Level 5 of the airport's main terminal. Expect to pay $17 and up^* (one-way).
• By bus: Take the RTD skyRide for $8^* (one-way). Route "AF" will take you downtown to the Market Street Station, which is only a 4-block walk to the CU-Denver Building. Visit the RTD information counter on Level 5 of the airport's main terminal, just inside door 506, for route information.
• By taxi: Expect to pay about $50^*.
• By car: Leaving the airport, you will be on Peña Boulevard. Continue on it until its end, when it exits onto I-70 West. Drive west on I-70 to I-25 South (DO NOT TAKE I-225 SOUTH!). Drive south on I-25 to Speer Blvd. (Exit 212A). Get into the right lane on Speer because you will need to turn in a loop to get onto Market Street. Look for the sign "Auraria Parkway/East Downtown" and follow its directions: turn right on Auraria Parkway (westbound) and then turn left immediately to make a U-turn onto Auraria Parkway (eastbound). Cross Speer Blvd. One block further, turn right onto 14th St. The next cross street is Larimer St. and the building is on the corner of 14th St. and Larimer St. (the entrance faces 14th St.).
